Fisher Takeovers

The only thing better than sights and sounds emerging from the stage? A whole 4-story building overflowing with music, art, media, and the reverberative joy left in their wake. 2025 marked the launch of a bold new curatorial initiative for BAM: a series of unbounded full-building activations in the BAM Fisher, welcoming artists, dancers, musicians, and community members to fill our halls and connect with audiences and each other. The lineups have included José Parlá’s multi-sensory Realismo Magico, a day of intergenerational artistry called On the Shoulders of…: Hold Up Who Holds You Up, acclaimed Syrian-American rapper Omar Offendum’s Bringing the Shãm to BAM and BAM’s long-loved pride party, Everybooty—returning again this season! This winter and spring, we’re beyond thrilled to welcome you back for more culture, community, and full-tilt celebration; stay tuned for more information regarding the second Fisher Takeover later this year.
