A new play by Peter Morgan
Directed by Stephen Daldry
"Helen Mirren is superb."
—Evening Standard

This screening was recorded from an earlier live performance.

For 60 years, Elizabeth II has held private meetings with her prime ministers at Buckingham Palace. Both parties have maintained an unspoken agreement to never repeat what is said—not even to their spouses. The Audience breaks that contract of secrecy, imagining a series of pivotal meetings the Queen has had with Churchill, Cameron, and other Downing Street incumbents. Stephen Daldry (Billy Elliot, The Hours) directs and Helen Mirren reprises her Academy Award-winning role as Elizabeth II in this highly anticipated West End production, which reunites Mirren with writer Peter Morgan following their work on the critically acclaimed film The Queen.
