School-Time Performance: Robot Song

Mar 24—27, 2026
Grades 2—6
Robot Song
Created by Jolyon James

CURRICULUM CONNECTIONS: Social‑Emotional Learning, English Language Arts, Arts & Theatre Education, Music Education, STEAM Connections, Social Studies / SEL & Diversity Education
    Part of
  • School-Time Performances
You’re invited to an award-winning, visually dazzling celebration of creativity, difference, and the ways we can learn from one another. Inspired by writer/director Jolyon James’ experience parenting a child on the autism spectrum, this funny and deeply moving family show speaks to young people and adults alike.

The story follows eleven-year-old Juniper May, whose world unravels after her classmates declare her “the most hated person in the school.” Withdrawn and isolated, Juniper is saved when her desperate parents turn to an unexpected ally: a giant singing robot. Blending digital technology, animatronics, and a stunning original score, Robot Song is a joyful, uplifting reminder of the power of love and imagination. Plus, each performance will feature a post-show Q&As with the company.

Free pre- and post-show workshops are available to all schools who purchase tickets to this performance. These 45-minute to hour-long workshops will be facilitated at your school by one of BAM’s teaching artists.

To reserve seats for a school-time performance, please complete this form.

To better support the needs and enjoyment of neurodiverse audience members, we are offering a sensory-friendly performance on March 27 at 11am.
Composed and Music Direction by Nate Gilkes
