Directed by Fritz Lang | 1954

With Glenn Ford, Gloria Grahame, Broderick Crawford, Edgar Buchanan, Kathleen Case

Tough guy Glenn Ford returns home from Korea to the train yards, only to become ensnared in the explosive relationship between Gloria Grahame and Broderick Crawford. A loose adaptation of Zola’s La Bête Humaine (previously filmed by Jean Renoir), Human Desire is emblematic of Lang’s best 1950s work, where the films take on a two-fisted hardness and moral ambiguity marked by distinctive visual motifs.
