  • BAM Film 2025
Directed by Julia Solomonoff (2009)
With Guadalupe Alonso, Nicolás Treise, Mirella Pascual, Gabo Correa, María Clara Merendino, Guillermo Pfening
With her parents separated and her older sister on the cusp of adolescence, Jorgelina is staring down the barrel of a very unpleasant beach vacation. Instead, she opts to go to the country with her father and reconnects with Mario, the son of a farmhand and Jorgelina’s childhood friend. In this bucolic setting, a secret is accidentally revealed when Jorgelina notices unexplainable bloodstains on Mario’s pants. Throughout a summer of siestas, horse-back rides, and pastoral adventures, the mysteries of gender begin to come into focus for the two as they embark on a journey of discovery and acceptance. Julie Solomonoff directs this powerful coming-of-age story.
