New York City’s largest public celebration of the great civil rights leader returns to the BAM Howard Gilman Opera House, co-presented with Borough President Eric Adams and Medgar Evers College of the City University of New York.

This year’s celebration features a keynote address by author, professor, and activist Angela Davis, with musical performances by modern jazz artist José James and the BCCC Singers of the Brooklyn Christian Cultural Center.
