Guest Code of Conduct

To ensure a comfortable and respectful environment for all guests, please observe the following:

• No Smoking or Vaping: Prohibited inside the cinemas.
• Seat Reservations: Saving seats for others is not permitted.
• Children and Infants: Children under 6 are not admitted unless attending a designated BAMkids film.
• Service Animals Only: Only trained service animals are allowed.
• Electronic Devices: Please silence and dim all phones and devices.
• Trash & Recycling: Use designated bins.
• No Outside Food or Drink
• Rated R Films: Guests age 16 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian age 21 or older.

Is seating assigned at BAM Rose Cinemas?

Seating is general admission. We recommend arriving early to secure your preferred spot. We regret that we cannot offer refunds to parties who are unable to find seats together.

How do Level 4 and 5 members and BAM Patrons secure movie tickets?

Members (Levels 4 & 5) and Patrons with free movie admission benefits may present their membership card and photo ID at the cinema entrance. We recommend arriving 20 minutes early. Additional guest tickets must be purchased.

Advance reservations are available online for repertory films. New release tickets must be picked up in person. Special screenings may have discounted but not free admission for these member levels. See BAM.org/benefits for full details.

What accommodations are offered at BAM Rose Cinemas?

BAM Rose Cinemas is located in the Peter Jay Sharp Building, which is fully accessible. Elevators provide access to all cinema levels. However, please note that accessible restrooms are not located near Cinemas 3 and 4. For accessible restrooms, guests should return to the main lobby or use restrooms in The Adam Space when available. Open Captioned screenings are scheduled for all films playing for extended engagements, when available. Look for an “OC” icon next to the specific showtime. Accessibility devices available:

• Headsets for audio amplification (all films)
• Sony closed-captioning glasses (select DCP films)
• Descriptive audio tracks (select DCP films)

Devices can be requested at the box office. Disposable covers provided. In some cases, customers may also use their own wired headphones (3.5mm jack only).

What concessions are offered at BAM Rose Cinemas?

The BAM Rose Cinemas concession stand offers a variety of classic movie snacks and beverages, including:

Freshly popped popcorn
Candy and sweet treats
Soft drinks, bottled water, and juice
Beer and wine (valid ID required)

Concessions are available for purchase before and during screenings. Outside food and beverages are not permitted inside the cinemas. For information on food allergens and menu pricing, please visit BAM Rose Cinema Concessions.

I didn’t receive a confirmation email for my cinema tickets. What should I do?

Check your spam folder or the email address linked to your BAM account. You can retrieve your tickets at the box office or kiosk using your purchase credit card. For assistance, contact BAM Ticket Services at 718.636.4100.

Will there be a standby line for sold-out screenings?

For special events, available seats are sold to the standby line on a first-come, first-served basis just before the film starts. We do not offer a standby line for first-run films.

Does the time posted for the start of the movie include coming attractions?

Coming attractions begin before the posted time; the feature film starts five minutes after the listed time.

How do I contact the lost and found for BAM Rose Cinemas?

Items found the same day are held at the cinema entrance. After that, inquire at the Peter Jay Sharp stage door: 718.636.4150. Phones, wallets, and credit cards are held by cinema management.
