Mehdia, an Ethiopian migrant domestic worker in Beirut, loves Ahmed, a Syrian refugee who struggles to survive dealing in second-hand metal scraps, and suffers from an unidentified ailment related to shrapnel wounds. When the opportunity arises, the couple leaves Beirut though Ahmed’s physical condition worsens. With searing intensity and heartbreaking realism, Mehdia and Ahmed discover the difference between having nothing and having nothing to lose.
