In the swampy forests along the Belarus-Poland border, refugees from the Middle East and Africa are lured by false promises of safe passage into Europe, only to become trapped in a brutal geopolitical standoff. Shot in stark black-and-white, Green Border presents the migrant crisis via multiple angles: a Syrian family fleeing ISIS, the border guards tasked with enforcing cruel policies, and the activists who risk everything to help the migrants.
