In Kevin Rodney Sullivan’s heartwarming comedy, Bassett stars as Stella, a woman trying her best to resist falling in love with a 20-year-old (Taye Diggs in his film debut), until her best friend (Goldberg) urges her to rediscover herself and get in the groove. Based on Terry McMillan’s best-selling book from 1996, How Stella Got Her Groove Back is a super-fun summer rom-com about discovery and self-reflection.
