Hosted by Uniquely Me Creative Arts (UMCA) and BAM, this powerful, supportive community event focuses on behavior strategies for children on the autism spectrum, providing parents and caregivers with practical guidance, connection, and assurance. While children participate in structured, sensory-based activities, parents will engage in a workshop with Sam Blanco (BCBA-D, PhD, LBA) of Different Roads. Children will be supported by a 2:1 adult-to-child ratio throughout the session.

We envision a world where every special needs child finds their unique creative voice and lives an inclusive life while their families share a journey of love and enjoyments.
UMCA meets every Saturday at their Sensory Zone located at 1047 a Fulton Street (Brooklyn, New York) from 11:00 am to 2:30 pm. They also meet at Bethany Baptist Church 460 Marcus Garvey Boulevard 460 Marcus Garvey Bvd (Brooklyn, New York) from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm every Second Saturday of the month. -
Sam BlancoSam Blanco is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, an ABA provider for students ages 3—12 in NYC, and the creator of a blog (samblanco.com) devoted to teaching students with autism through games, apps, toys, and books. Working in education for 10 years with students with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other developmental delays, Sam has developed strategies for achieving a multitude of academic, behavior, and social goals. She is the lead contractor for Theatre Development Fund’s Autism Theatre Initiative, working to modify Broadway shows such as The Lion King and Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark. She also provides workshops for professionals and parents about assessment, managing difficult behaviors, verbal behavior, and using games and technology effectively in teaching practices.
