Aicha, a 30-year-old Tunisian, lives in Tozeur, a city in southern Tunisia. Between social diktats, conservatism, and disillusionment, she is not the happiest girl in the world. One day, a misfortune befalls Aicha—but this tragedy becomes an unexpected opportunity as she sheds the village and its constraints for the alluring bright lights of the city where not everything is as glamorous as it seems.
