The Informant!

Matt Damon stars as Mark Whitacre, a rising star at agri-industry giant ADM who suddenly decides to blow the whistle on a price-fixing plot. But as the FBI invests more and more in their bumbling corporate drone turned undercover spy, it becomes almost impossible to decipher what is real and what is the product of Whitacre’s rambling imagination. Steven Soderbergh’s understated comedy, based on the lysine price-fixing conspiracy of the mid-90s, is another example of his career-long interest in the mechanics of American capitalism.
