In bustling Beirut, Malek catches a fleeting glimpse of Zeina, the woman he loves but who no longer wants to see him, for only a fleeting moment before she disappears into the midday traffic. Struggling with a sleep disorder and a mother consumed by the past, he searches for connection in a city full of ghosts. Over the course of one transformative day, he confronts family loss, unspoken grief, and the possibility of rekindled love in Joana Hadjithomas and Khalil Joreige’s 2005 drama.
