The Phoenician Scheme

Opens Jun 6
NEW RELEASE
    Part of
  • BAM Film 2025
Directed by Wes Anderson (2025)
With Benicio del Toro, Mia Threapleton, Michael Cera, Riz Ahmed, Tom Hanks, Bryan Cranston, Mathieu Amalric, Richard Ayoade, Jeffrey Wright, Scarlett Johansson, Benedict Cumberbatch, Rupert Friend, Hope Davis
Wes Anderson assembles yet another arresting ensemble cast of marquee names for his newest caper, billed as the story of a family and a family business. Writing with Roman Coppola, his collaborator on Asteroid City and Moonrise Kingdom, Anderson spins a wooly espionage yarn about Zsa-zsa Korda (del Toro), one of the richest men in Europe, and his daughter, Liesl (Threapleton), a nun who he names the sole heir of his estate. As Korda embarks on a new enterprise, they become the target of tycoons, terrorists, and would-be assassins.
