Stoic truck driver Jinpa picks up a vengeful hitchhiker in the desolate Kekexili plateau, aghast when he hears the young man’s intent to avenge the murder of his father a decade prior. After they part ways, Jinpa finds himself overcome with regret, setting out to find the drifter in an attempt to end the cycle of violence. Named for the Tibetan word meaning “generosity,” Jinpa won Best Screenplay in the Horizons section at the Venice Film Festival in 2018.
