In 1935, the great German-born American director William Wyler made this film about Luisa Ginglebusher, a sweet-natured yet naive young woman recently released from an orphanage who becomes an usher at a local movie theater. In an attempt to do good, Luisa finds herself wrapped up in a series of hi-jinks and romantic entanglements. The Good Fairy is based on the Hungarian play of the same name by Ferenc Molnár.
