Land of the Dead

In the fourth installment of Romero’s legendary Dead series, the zombies have finally taken over the planet. All that’s left for humanity are isolated city-states, where the rich maintain a strict social hierarchy. Romero, who long used his zombie stories as a site of social critique, fashions the authoritarian leader Paul Kaufman (Dennis Hopper) into an explicit George W. Bush analog when he yells “I don't negotiate with terrorists!”
