Gina Prince-Bythewood’s acclaimed feature debut traces the journeys of two childhood friends and aspiring professional basketball players whose passion for the game is matched only by their passion for each other. Smart, emotionally layered, and unabashedly sexy, this tale of hoop dreams and setbacks is the rare sports movie to portray the experiences of female athletes with honesty and complexity.
The screening will be followed by a talkback with actor and cast member Alfre Woodard and the New York Liberty’s Maria Clifton, also known as DJ Ria.
