With
Sergi López, Bruno Núñez Arjona
Searching for his missing daughter, middle-aged Luis (Sergi López) travels with his son Esteban (Bruno Núñez Arjona) to a rave in the mountains of Morocco. Bound for a mythic party deep in the desert as an armed conflict erupts with a neighboring nation, Luis, Esteban, and a small band of ravers confront perilous conditions—a journey evoking the Arabic word sirât, in Islam a reference to the razor-thin bridge all must cross on the Day of Judgment, when only the righteous survive. Awash in penetrating light and pulsating sound, Sirāt shared the Jury Prize at this year’s Cannes Film Festival.
