With
Tadanobu Asano, Ken Mitsuishi, Yoichiro Saito, Kaori Tsuji
A gangster just released from jail has one goal on his mind: to exact revenge on the boss he believes double-crossed him. Before he can set out on his quest for vengeance, he asks Kenji (Asano) to take care of his disabled sister and a mysterious black bag, catalyzing an unpredictable journey set over the course of a single, late-summer day. A few years before Eureka netted Aoyama international recognition at Cannes, this vehicle for turn-of-the-millenium Japanese icon Tadanobu Asano showcases the early development of a beloved Japanese auteur of independent cinema.
