Isabel Aimé González Sola, Esteban Bigliardi
Lina (Isabel Aimé González Sola), an accomplished Argentine artist and designer, is in Switzerland to receive an award when she jumps from a bridge into the icy waters below. As she later confesses to a friend, she experienced a moment of deep peace until the thought of her young daughter drew her back to life. But the incident leaves her with a paralyzing fear of water and a growing sense of isolation that threatens both her career and her personal life. Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Milagros Mumenthaler (Back to Stay), The Currents is a quietly gripping portrait of a woman on the verge of unraveling.
