New Safety Measures at BAM

We are thrilled to welcome you back to in-person events at BAM! Your health and safety remains our highest priority, and we are continually adapting our protocols in line with the CDC, the WHO, and state and federal guidance.

As of August 16, BAM requires proof of Covid-19 vaccination and a valid ID for all adult visitors and staff, in compliance with New York City’s vaccine mandate for indoor and outdoor entertainment. Children are not currently required to be vaccinated to participate in any programs.

Proof of a negative Covid-19 test will not be accepted as an alternative to vaccination.

To ensure that we are providing a safe environment for everyone, the following additional protocols are in place:

Health Screening & Temperature Checks

A brief verbal questionnaire and temperature check is conducted when you enter any of our buildings.

Face Coverings are Required

A cloth face mask or covering is required for all guests during both indoor and outdoor events, except in designated locations.

Social Distancing & Capacity Limits

Guests must maintain social distance at all times in our lobbies, venues, and restrooms. Capacity at BAM Rose Cinemas is currently 75%. Occupancy requirements for elevators are posted.

Contactless Ticketing

We strongly encourage all guests to purchase tickets online and in advance.

Hand-Sanitizing Stations & Cleaning Protocols

Hand-sanitizing stations are offered throughout the campus at entrances, elevators, and other high-traffic areas.

Additionally, seats are cleaned and disinfected after every event, and restrooms, elevators, and other high-touch areas are cleaned and disinfected throughout the day.

Air Quality & Ventilation

We have made improvements to overall air quality and ventilation and expanded the use of high-efficiency filters in all of our buildings. We have also upgraded our HVAC systems with MERV 13 filters, which have been identified to be much more effective in trapping microscopic particles, including Covid-19.

BAM Staff Protocols

All members of BAM staff complete a health screening and temperature check before reporting to work.

Ticket Protection & Flexible Refunds

In the event that a program is canceled, you will be offered a range of options, including a full refund of your ticket purchase. Additionally, if you or a member of your party exhibit symptoms of Covid-19 or have been exposed to someone diagnosed with Covid-19, you may request a full refund, including waived fees, prior to the scheduled program by contacting BAM Ticket Services at or 718.636.4100.

BAM is committed to making our campus and programming accessible to all guests. If any of our new protocols hinder your ability to access our spaces or programs, or if there is anything we can do to make your experience at BAM more accessible, please let us know. Visit for additional information and contact us at with any questions, concerns, or suggestions.

The safety protocols currently in place are subject to change in compliance with revisions to national and local guidelines regarding Covid-19. BAM implements the most up-to-date public health procedures to improve safety for all, but they are not an absolute protection against contracting Covid-19. Guests assume their own risk by entering our spaces. Check this page for updates to our safety measures prior to attending BAM events.
