Experience the new season of the Metropolitan Opera’s live transmissions in stunning HD! The Met’s pioneering series returns to BAM Rose Cinemas with eight extraordinary presentations. The season ahead includes the company premiere of El Último Sueño de Frida y Diego, a dazzling new opera by esteemed composer Gabriela Lena Frank and Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Nilo Cruz, as well as a new production of Wagner’s ravishing Tristan und Isolde directed by Yuval Sharon, with operatic superstar Lise Davidsen portraying the tempestuous Isolde here for the first time. The rest of the season promises beloved classics, new stagings, and Met favorites like Nadine Sierra, Piotr Beczała, Asmik Grigorian, Lisette Oropesa, and Lawrence Brownlee.
