Dining at BAMcafé
BAMcafé is the place to go for drinks and varied light fare before performances and films.


Saul Bolton began his career in Portland, Oregon, cooking at the Hawthorne Street Café, and later worked for James Beard Award-winning chefs Gordon Hamersley, David Bouley, and Eric Ripert. In 1999, Bolton and his wife opened his namesake Saul Restaurant in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn, during which time they garnered a Michelin star and two stars from The New York Times. He later he opened The Vanderbilt and Red Gravy and is the owner of artisanal sausage company Brooklyn Bangers. Bolton joined the Great Performances family in 2015 with the opening of The Norm at the Brooklyn Museum.
In an effort to limit our waste at BAM, and in conjunction with other New York performance spaces, all beverages will be served exclusively in reusable, recyclable plastic cups. Please join us in lowering our carbon footprint while also helping to keep our beloved performances spaces as beautiful and tidy as ever.
