  • Black Cops, Spies and Overseers
  • and
  • BAM Film 2026
Directed by Russell Mulcahy (1991)
With Denzel Washington, John Lithgow, Ice-T, Kevin Pollak
Denzel Washington portrays Nick Styles, a former Los Angeles police officer turned assistant district attorney whose perfect life, family, and career are threatened when Earl Talbot Blake (John Lithgow), a psychotic hit man Styles arrested, escapes prison with plans to seek brutal revenge. Written by Steven E. de Souza (48 Hours, Die Hard) and directed by Russell Mulcahy (Highlander, Resident Evil: Extinction), Ricochet positioned Washington as a commanding action hero, and provided Lithgow with one of his most memorably offbeat roles.
