FRONTLINE PBS Presents: 2000 Meters to Andriivka
Wed, Jun 3, 2026
- Part of
- BAM Film 2026
Directed by Mstyslav Chernov (2025)
Created by FRONTLINE PBS in collaboration with the Associated Press, 2000 Meters to Andriivka offers a rare, unfiltered view of modern warfare through combat bodycam footage and intimate moments of reflection. Following a Ukrainian platoon on a high-stakes mission to liberate the village of Andriivka, the film documents not only the physical distance of 2,000 meters, but also the embedded emotional and human cost.
At once visceral and deeply human, 2000 Meters to Andriivka is a stunning portrayal of war in the trenches from the Oscar-winning team behind 20 Days in Mariupol. The film is a winner of the Sundance Film Festival’s World Cinema Documentary Directing Award, the Directors Guild of America Award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Documentary, the Writers Guild of America Award for Best Documentary Screenplay, and the American Society of Cinematographers Award, and has been nominated for Emmy and Peabody Awards.
Join us for a post-screening conversation with special guests connected to the film.
Created by BAM and FRONTLINE PBS Impact teams, this program is rooted in a shared mission to spark dialogue, deepen cultural understanding, and engage audiences around meaningful social issues.
