Urban Odysseys

May 29—Jun 4, 2026
    Part of
  • BAM Film 2026
Seemingly innocuous errands snowball into sagas in this series dedicated to epic adventures that take place within the limits of a singular city. These protagonists—from After Hours' Paul Hackett (Griffin Dunne) to Good Time’s Nick (Benny Safdie) and Connie (Robert Pattinson)—must traverse their municipality, often in a race against time, to complete their objective. Sometimes as simple as bringing a birthday gift home or returning a schoolmate’s notebook, and other times as daunting as finding a rock-n-roll legend or reuniting a family, every story is—at its core—an urban odyssey.
