Directed by Francine Parker (1972)
With Jane Fonda, Donald Sutherland
“The Show the Pentagon Couldn’t Stop!” At the height of the Vietnam War, Jane Fonda and Donald Sutherland toured an anti-war comedy show across Southeast Asia, directly engaged with and inspired by veterans against the war. Naturally, the highly controversial tour upset U.S. military higher-ups despite its positive reception among stationed soldiers. Francine Parker’s film version was quickly taken out of circulation due to political pressures, and has been difficult to access for decades.

New 4K restoration by IndieCollect, created in association with Academy Film Archive with funding from the Golden Globe Foundation.
