Following her appearance on stage at BAM as part of Dear Everything, we’re highlighting actress and activist Jane Fonda with a retrospective of her many illustrious cinematic works. Since the daring New Hollywood days, Fonda’s thrilling oeuvre has upended traditional depictions of women and activism on screen. From the era-defining paranoia thriller Klute to politically engaged works like The China Syndrome (not to mention Barbarella and 9 to 5), Fonda’s films commented on and drove forward cultural movements ranging from feminism to the anti-Vietnam war protests. A true icon in every sense, we’re thrilled to honor her appearance on stage in the Winter/Spring 2026 season with this eight-film tribute.
