Ziad, a young Palestinian basketball hero, has been imprisoned after assassinating an Israeli settler who killed his best friend. Shot entirely on location in the West Bank with a largely Palestinian crew, director Bassam Jarbawi’s debut feature follows Ziad as he returns home 15 years later, emerging into a world he can scarcely recognize and haunted by memories and hallucinations.
