Who Framed Roger Rabbit

May 9—17, 2026

  • BAM Film 2026
Directed by Robert Zemeckis (1988)
With Bob Hoskins, Christopher Lloyd, Charles Fleischer, Stubby Kaye, Joanna Cassidy
In one of the most critically-acclaimed comedies of all time, a grizzly private detective embarks on a mission to prove the innocence of a poorly-performing cartoon star. Pynchon—an avowed animation fan, making references to Looney Tunes, Popeye and more—surely must have loved Zemeckis’s masterpiece, which mashed up Chinatown, ‘40s noir, and Bugs into a singular classic.
