When 19-year-old Anthony Bourdain (Sessa) travels to Provincetown, happenstance propels him into a restaurant kitchen, kickstarting one of the most watched (and read about) careers in contemporary cooking. From Canadian indie darling Matt Johnson (BlackBerry, Nirvanna the Band the Show the Movie) comes a portrait of one of food media and literature’s most provocative minds. Pulled from excerpts of Kitchen Confidential, Tony eschews traditional sprawling biographical encomium, instead offering a candid glimpse into an especially formative season of Bourdain’s life.
