But Sheriff Bart (Cleavon Little), assisted by alcoholic gunslinger Jim the Waco Kid (Gene Wilder), uses his quick wits to turn the tables in this classic comedy directed by Mel Brooks with a script co-written by Richard Pryor, nominated for three Academy Awards and now viewed as an all-time cinema classic.
