Spike Lee’s audacious follow-up to She’s Gotta Have It (originally released on February 12, 1988) follows A Self-Styled radical student (Laurence Fishburne) at The Historically Black Mission College as he attempts to shake up The Campus’ Political Conscience and clashes with The Macho “Dog Or Die” Gamma Phi Gamma Fraternity. Bursting with Energetic Musical Numbers (including “Good and Bad Hair” and The Number 1 Hit “Da Butt”) School Daze pulls off a deft mix of Comedy and Commentary as it explores Colorism, Class and African American Identity.
Spike Lee Will Introduce School Daze at both screenings.
