Keep the DanceAfrica celebration going with a live virtual dance party! Join us on the digital dance floor for a mix of Afrobeat, funk, soul, rock, jazz, and hip-hop stylings courtesy of DanceAfrica veteran DJ YB, hailed the general of Afro beats.
Because the spirit of DanceAfrica is all about the people, BAM is collecting donations for mutual aid groups during the party, in keeping with the festival’s ethos of unity, resilience, and support.
This year, we celebrate DanceAfrica with a series of digital offerings, including online dance classes, streams of past performances, a virtual bazaar, and more.
We spotlight some of the local small businesses that have been part of DanceAfrica through the years, with all sales providing critical support to these artists, artisans, and entrepreneurs.
