Winter/Spring 2027
Jan—June 2027
Welcome to BAM’s Winter/Spring 2027 season, an extraordinary mix of groundbreaking creations and milestone events. Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a longtime friend, we encourage you to explore, take chances, and come see what makes BAM BAM.
We’re thrilled to welcome visionary director Julie Taymor and Oscar-winning composer Elliot Goldenthal with their first-ever BAM project: The Grand Delusion, a new original theatrical work spanning places, eras, and mythologies, will run at the Harvey Theater, where they have long envisioned presenting the work. And we celebrate the 50th anniversary of DanceAfrica, the nation’s oldest, largest festival devoted to African and diasporic arts and culture, with our most ambitious presentation to date—including deep ties to two more core programs, Word. Sound. Power. and BAM Free Music.
Tanztheater Wuppertal, a longtime BAM favorite, returns with one of Pina Bausch’s most elemental creations, a highlight of a season that also brings the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and three internationally renowned Brooklyn-based companies—Urban Bush Women, Mark Morris Dance Group, and Big Dance Theater—back to our stages. We’re proud to be part of a nationwide cohort presenting the 10th anniversary tour of Fellow Travelers, one of the most beautiful and powerful operas of the 21st century, and thrilled to be the place where Catapult Opera is introducing a fantastical new chamber opera to the public.
And there’s even more ahead. BAM—come see it for yourself.
Thank you to our Winter/Spring 2027 season supporters.
